Custom Styles

Writage provides the ability to change the default styles used when opening a Markdown document in Word, so your documents match your own formatting requirements.

To do this, you create a custom Writage style set in Word’s Design tab. Once saved, this style set is applied automatically every time you open a Markdown file.

Windows only

Custom style sets via Word’s Design tab are a Windows-only feature. They are not available in Word for macOS.

How to create a custom styles set

  1. Launch Microsoft Word and open the Welcome document by clicking the Welcome button on the Writage ribbon. This document contains all the styles that Writage uses for Markdown documents.
