Custom Styles

Writage provides the ability to change the default styles used when opening a Markdown document in Word, so your documents match your own formatting requirements.

To do this, you create a custom Writage style set in Word’s Design tab. Once saved, this style set is applied automatically every time you open a Markdown file.

How to create a custom styles set on Windows

  1. Launch Microsoft Word and open the Welcome document by clicking the Welcome button on the Writage ribbon. This document contains all the styles that Writage uses for Markdown documents.

  1. Make the necessary changes to the styles, then open the Design tab and click the dropdown button in the bottom-right corner of the Document Formatting group.
