Using with Gemini
Google Gemini formats its responses in Markdown, so you can copy content from Gemini and paste it into Word as formatted text using Writage.
Copy from Gemini and paste into Word
- Enter your prompt in Gemini and wait for the response.
- Click the Copy button at the bottom of the response. This copies the raw Markdown to the clipboard.
- Open your Word document (or create a new one).
- On the Writage ribbon, click Paste Markdown.
- Gemini’s response appears in your document as formatted Word content.
Tips
- Gemini’s Markdown output includes headings, lists, bold and italic text, and code blocks. Writage converts all of these to the corresponding Word styles.
- If a Gemini response contains a table, Writage will render it as a Word table.
- Gemini sometimes inserts spaces inside math delimiters (e.g.
$ E=mc^2 $). Writage requires no spaces after$or before the closing$. Edit the Markdown if equations don’t convert correctly or ask Gemini to avoid extra spaces — see Math & Equations. - For longer responses, you can use the Desktop App to preview the Markdown before pasting into Word: open the desktop app and click Paste Markdown to see a rendered preview first.
